Behind the lens
The outdoors and I seemed to always get along. Growing up, exploring the backyard woods with my neighbors was always the thing to do. Back then, our hometown was the whole universe. Then when social media became a thing, I began seeing images from all over the world, and dreamed about going to them myself. Well, one day I stopped dreaming, and I began doing.
It started with my very first cross country road-trip. NY to CA, sleeping in the back of a mini-van, and exploring as many wild places as I could. I bought my first Canon camera before the trip, planning to take the occasional tourist picture. Since I bought that camera, I have never been the same.
I seemed to finally find the fire in me, and all I could do was to keep pouring fuel into that. I now had a desire to travel to as many places in the world as I could, capturing the beauty of nature through my own lens, with my own style. I honestly owe my wanderlust to my passion for creating art, and I will never go back.
As the saying goes: “You’ve got one life…” Well, I’m going to live it. Who’s joining me?
